Plans and subscription
Tutoom offers a few plans to suit your needs, Free, Kuelap, and Chavín, plus custom terms for larger needs. For plan pricing and a full feature-by-feature comparison, visit the Pricing page. Below you'll learn how rooms, recording storage, and billing actually work once you've subscribed.
How rooms work
A room is your dedicated virtual space for hosting live sessions, like a permanent classroom that's always ready. Each room runs one session at a time, and its capacity (number of users and session length) depends on the plan you chose for it.
When you subscribe, you choose a plan and how many rooms you need. All the rooms in one subscription must be the same plan type, you can't mix, for example, Kuelap rooms and Chavín rooms in a single subscription. If you need to run 3 simultaneous classes, you need 3 rooms.
Recording storage
Each paid room contributes monthly recording storage that's shared across your account. For example, two Kuelap rooms give you a combined 400 hours of storage per month. You can delete old recordings to free up space. Free plan accounts can store up to 5 recordings in total.
Subscription and billing cycles
Subscriptions can be billed monthly or annually, and renew automatically until you cancel. Annual billing saves 16% compared to paying monthly.
- Monthly billing: renews on the same day each month.
- Annual billing: renews on the same date each year.
Changing your plan
You can change your plan anytime from Settings > Subscription:
- Upgrades take effect immediately and are billed right away.
- Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle; your current plan stays active until then.
Canceling your subscription
You can cancel at any time. Your subscription, and your rooms, will remain active until the end of your current billing period (the same date next month for monthly plans, or next year for annual plans). After that, it won't renew.
